Exhibition

All my lovin´

-

“All my lovin'” will present, on the occasion of Künstlerhaus Bethanien’s relaunch, works by Elinor Carucci (IL/USA), Edith Maybin (CDN/GB), Phillip Toledano (GB) and Lydia Panas (USA) which have been selected out of the 20 international artistic positions in the field of photography and video which the project brings together. They all investigate love, loving and being loved; this is an exhibition about our loved ones at home, by our side, or separated from us, those with whom we feel the deepest bonds of the soul, but with whom our everyday relations are often filled with conflict, so that we experience alternating emotional security and insecurity.

The exhibition was first shown at the Photo Festival Lodz 2010 and is now being presented for the relaunch of Künstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin. Finally, it will be shown during the Photo Autumn in Sirius Arts Centre in the Irish city of Cork.

The project “All my lovin'” was developed by curators Krzysztof Candrowicz (Lodz), Peg Amison (Cork) and Christoph Tannert (Berlin) in collaboration with the artists. Starting out from the view that today philosophy must be viewed as a meta-science which is required to shed light on other disciplines, a relevant, even extremely popular modern theme has been conceived in a vivid and exemplary way and will be mediated from an aesthetical, enlightening perspective.
