The Künstlerhaus Bethanien houses in the former “Lichtfabrik”, or “Light Factory”, workshops, offices and studios as well as 730 sqm of exhibition facilities. The galleries on the shop-windowed ground floor, which can be accessed directly from Kottbusser Strasse, divides into several flexible segments, while the first floor holds an additional day-lit exhibition space.

The offices and the 25 residency studios are accessed via Kohlfurter Strasse. Varying in size from 45 to 95 sqm, the studios are conceived as spacious, bright lofts equipped with a small kitchen unit, a sink and wireless Internet connection. Bathrooms and showers are available as shared amenities. The Künstlerhaus Bethanien furthermore has well-equipped wood, metal and plastic workshops to produce its exhibitions as well as it provides video and sound editing resources for the artist residents.
