Judith Schwinn - planet earth rebirth

In a further edition of its ZUSPIEL series, Künstlerhaus Bethanien is presenting works by Judith Schwinn: “planet earth rebirth” is a song by the artists’ band Madame Scandaleuse comprising Judith Schwinn and Kerstin Wagener, which – as a title – fits Judith Schwinn’s work just as well.

“Works on paper by Judith Schwinn reveal an extremely sensitive, positively gentle handling of coloured chalks. The viewer is drawn almost silently into the microcosmic events on paper.” (Jörg van den Berg/Tilo Schulz). As well as drawings, in the context of ZUSPIEL Judith Schwinn will be showing filigree objects, mostly figures made of flower petals, and a mural work, which refers to her musical background.

Judith Schwinn has lived in Berlin since 2004. At present, her works may also be seen at the Columbus Art Foundation exhibition “Schräge Sache. Verschiebungen aus dem Klassischen” in Ravensburg and at Galerie Hartwich in Sellin.
