Samira Hodaei is a visual artist born in Tehran, Iran. She was part of the international artist in resident programme at Künstlerhaus Bethanien in 2018.

Her paintings and installations analyze the aesthetics of globalization and communication technology while interacting with Iranian culture and identity, which are deeply intertwined with poetry, religion, and petroleum. She is based in Tehran and Berlin.
