The multimedia artist Junko Maruyama works with bricolage and installation. She uses themes such as rebirth and circulation that recur in her practice. Garbage, wasted material and everyday objects are used to create new worlds and landscapes. With her artistic exploration Junko refers to the increasing insecurity about human existence and creates new worlds by incorporating natural phenomena and possibilities to regenerate life.
