In the early 1990ties Ntando Xorile started as a performing artist for the Soweto Dance Project. He worked together with the late artist James Sounders (Cologne), Germaine Agogny (Senegal) as well as Marcio Valeriano (Brazil). In 2006 he joined the Johannesburg Art Bank and exerted great influence on the curatorial direction of the collection. In 2007 Ntando Xorile worked and oversaw together with Clive van der Berg the Spier Contemporary at the Johannesburg Art Gallery. The same year he became committee member of the Rendezvous Project, which aims to develop relationships between business, education and cultural practitioners. The curator is a member of VANSA (Visual Arts Network South Africa), as well as TRACE, where he is engaged as a researcher and assistant curator. TRACE is a team of professionals in the field of research, exhibition, design and heritage. Ntando Xorile trat seit Anfang der 1990er Jahre zunächst als Performance-Künstler des Soweto Dance Project auf. So unter anderem mit dem inzwischen verstorbenen Künstler James Sounders (Köln), Germaine Agogny (Senegal) sowie Marcio Valeriano (Brasilien). Mit dem Eintritt in die Johannesburg Art Bank2006 beeinflusste er maßgeblich die kuratorische Ausrichtung der Sammlung. 2007 arbeitete Xorile mit
Clive van der Berg für das Spier Contemporary der Johannesburg ArtGallery. Im selben Jahr baute er als Komiteemitglied des Rendezvous Project Beziehungen zwischen Wirtschaft, Bildung und Kulturschaffenden auf. Der Kurator ist Mitglied des VANSA (Visual Arts Network South Africa) und engagiert sich als Forscher und Assistenzkurator für TRACE, einem Expertenteam in den Bereichen Forschung, Ausstellung, Design und kulturelles Erbe. Momentan cokuratiert Ntando Xorile in KapstadtCAPE09, das zeitgenössische Kunstpraktiken des heutigen Afrikas präsentiert.
