| "Fanshon" is the Polish word for a scarf that is known as "the Turkish headscarf" when worn with traditional costume, as it is tied beneath the chin and covers the neck, front and back. At the same time, it is also possible to hear in it an echo of the Polish word "fason", meaning something like "fashion" or "style"; there are manifold possibilities for interpretation. These form the basis of Marta Deskur's video performance which she will be showing in Studio III on 13th February. |
