Antonio de la Rosa
It might seem that the sentence "I don't love you" is presently enjoying a boom. More and more advertisements and websites are appearing, used by women from former eastern block states in their search for husbands in western Europe. This is not a matter of feelings, but of economics, and Antonio de la Rosa interprets marriage as an instrument of migration. In Berlin he is offering women from states of the former Soviet Union an opportunity for personal interviews and giving his advice. These interviews are not only public (15th, 22nd and 29th March 2003, 4 - 7 p.m., Studio 4), the artist also intends to propose marriage to one of the women - and so, as a side effect, grant her Spanish citizenship.

Jan Rothuizen
Jan Rothuizen doesn't only work as a fine artist, but also as a writer. By means of found photographs, his own texts and specific, on-the-spot interventions, he separates images from their original contexts and develops their inherent variability and fragility.

Der Tod der Netzkunst?
How can Net Art die, as long as the Internet is still alive? And yet the first farewell to the young art movement appeared as early as 1999, and the protagonists of "net.art" withdrew from the scene. So is it impossible to create art with the Internet? Of course, that's not the case, and Internet art will continue. But the Utopia of producing art outside of the art business, an art interconnected with society as a whole - that is dead. The 76 page reader ESC includes 6 essays and a chronology of early Net Art, and explains why the art business would do well to mourn the death of this Utopia.
Tour de Fence
Also published by the Media Arts Lab: "Tour de Fence" - a handbook motivating us to cross virtual and other undesirable borders, all to our own good.
