BULL.MILETIC is the name of the artists' duo founded by Synne Bull and Dragan Miletic in San Francisco, in 2000.

The collective's main interest lies in the question of how reality is perceived through different media. By investigating the nuances between presentation and representation, their work temporarily displaces the viewer and facilitates his or her awareness of the interplay of medium and subject. Their ideas often involve time-based work, resulting in single or multiple channel video installations. In the course of their artistic practice they respond to their immediate surroundings.
Their main focus in Berlin is an exploration of the specific architectural phenomena through the moving image's relationship to time and space. The subtle shift in the awareness created by the representation of the forgotten and the overlooked is used to expose the ordinary as a succession of spectacles in between physical and imaginary space. In addition, they will develop a TV series of nine half hour episodes, loosely based on each month of the KŸnstlerhaus Bethanien residency. They will also create a compilation of video works by Berlin-based artists. Both of these will be broadcast on their monthly public access TV show in San Francisco.

BULL.MILETIC wurde 2000 in San Francisco gegründet und ist der Name des Künstlerduos Synne Bull und Dragan Miletic.

Das Hauptinteresse der beiden Künstler betrifft die Frage, wie Realität über unterschiedliche Medien aufgefasst wird. In der Erforschung der feinen Unterschiede zwischen Präsentation und Repräsentation verschiebt ihre Arbeit zeitweilig auch die Wahrnehmung der Betrachter und erleichtert die Einsicht in das Zusammenspiel von Medium und Gegenstand. Ihre Ideen beziehen sich oft auf zeitgebundene Arbeiten und werden als Ein- oder Mehrkanal-Videoinstallationen umgesetzt. In ihrer künstlerischen Praxis reagieren sie auf ihr unmittelbares Umfeld.
In Berlin arbeiten sie hauptsächlich an einer Untersuchung der spezifischen ArchitekturphŠnomene in Bezug auf das Verhältnis des bewegten Bildes zu Zeit und Raum. Die minimale Verschiebung der Aufmerksamkeit, die durch die Darstellung des Vergessenen herbeigeführt wird, dient dazu, das Banale als Reihe von Spektakeln zwischen physischer und imaginärer Welt zu demonstrieren. Darüber hinaus werden sie eine neunteilige TV-Serie mit monatlichen halbstündigen Episoden entwickeln, die sich frei an ihrem Aufenthalt am Künstlerhaus Bethanien orientiert. Ausserdem stellen sie eine Kompilation von Videoarbeiten von Berliner KünstlerInnen zusammen. Beides wird in monatlicher Folge in ihrer TV-Show auf einem öffentlichen Kanal in San Francisco ausgestrahlt.
